in some cultures, even way back in the 20-40’s (american) if your wife was healthy( chunky) it was a sign that you were doing well for yourself because she was healthy and you both were eating, where as if your wife was thin, it showed that she was not eating and you were poor/not doing well..
a man with a fat wife was envied… lol…
boy times have changed….
so with indian women it might be a similar thing..

Because there are fat people wearing shorts and halters in America there are fat ladies wearing sarees in India.. That’s because to you shorts are a part of normal clothing and to them sarees are… it’s not like they wear sarees just to show their bellies… you are retarded…
