What are the best places to shop for sarees in New Delhi?

I hope to be there Dec/Jan and am looking for elegant unusual sarees

Go to Ajmal khan Road in Karol bagh, for elegant and South Ex for unusual. You might get a mix in both places.

    Personal Favourite is Roop Sarees in Karol Bagh not the South Ex one. Ask for Mr Rastogi. Impeccable taste in Sarees

    I know one called Kala Shree (near bikanerwala in karol bagh) 101-102, 1st floor, partap chambers, gurudwara rd., they are actually wholesalers, not retailers. People looking out for comtemporary designs visit them. Or else try Nalli sarees in CP opp. Hanuman mandir (Cannought place). They have wide range, but run of the mill.
