Cleaning your Fish Tank
A simple cleaning kit should a scraper pad, razor blade, bleach, water siphon, bucket, glass cleaner, filter media, filter brush, and old towels. These items may be bought in sets or individually from pet stores. Most hobbyist recommend cleaning fish tanks in this order; inside glass, decorations, gravel, outside glass and fixtures and filter. Be easy on the use of soaps and detergents when cleaning your tank, make sure that no residue will be left behind as they may endanger the health of your fish. Also, do regular water and filter cartridge changes to maintain balanced nitrate levels and clean water inside your fish tank.
