What is the best way to travel from Virar to Mumbai Central?

Coming from Surat to Virar, which I suppose is the last point. How does one reach Mumbai Central to catch a train there later. What will be the total time of travel.

Catch Virar local first train which will reach by 1 hr dot at Mumbai central station .Other mode of transport like taxi will take 2 hrs time and will cost you Rs 1200 and train will cost you Rs 15 in 2nd class and Rs 60 in ist class
