Whoever designed the American flag, (Betsy Ross) , looked at America's past and future. The thirteen stripes represent the thirteen original colonies. The 50 stars represent the current states of the United States. Put stars on your flag representing the states or provinces of India. Have the stars to encircle India's most beloved or the animal that most represents India.

A flag is the most obvious symbol to distinguish groups. Flags have identified, countries, monarchs, generals, tribes and sports teams. I think you could focus on that aspect for the above topic and write a decent paper.
