    i don’t mind limp bizkit(and they are back!) but as far as the other artists go, they suck . im sick of radio now, too boring and too repetitive. i used to listen to radio a lot back in the day but stopped in 05 and started listening to underground stations. radio sucks man.

    Not all “indie music” sounds the same.
    In Vancouver, for example, there’s Experimental, Roots, Punk, and many various hybrids of music. I have a show called Bandcouver. The music I air doesn’t all sound the same. I find experiencing the best music requires going out to live music venues, talking with musicians and friends about what they’re listening to, and then conducting research via the net. Works for me.

    The good music is on the indie circuit, in small bars and pubs. Hmmm… actually the Beatles started off like that in Germany, right? Anyway, radio is worthless… I got my radio station on my iPod, with all music from my CDs plus some iTunes downloads… mostly 60s through 90s and of the modern stuff: local indie bands, some of which have music in iTunes without the backing of any major label. Talk about distribution without help from the bigs.

    Another thing is: the industry is all about money, so, why pay a full band when you can do everything on a computer. Downsizing at its finest. All the industry releases is a weak click pattern and a model (not a singer) whose voice is processed by the creation of Satan that is Autotune. They only release empty, lifeless bore. I want to hear Beyonce backed by a full Motown-sytle band, for example. I want the bass player groovin’ back; it’s been gone for years. Otherwise, well, I ain’t buyin’.

    FM radio. They play the same songs all day long and there isn’t any variety. Good music still exists, you will just have to find it. I use Last FM and my local record store to discover new music.
