Fairy lights at the 50th birthday party

I recall everything being beautifully decorated and it was all well placed, well co-ordinated, and had an aesthetic appeal that reminded me of an upmarket hotel lobby in Vegas. There were hundreds of thousands of Fairy Lights, lining the walls from floor to ceiling. Ordinarily, something like that would put me off, coming across as low-budget but it was done in such a way that it left the room feeling warm and elegant. It seems that these lights are far more versatile than originally thought, and fit in well just about anywhere.
