<br />avoid oils. Baby lotion- just one pea sized amount works well with me.</p>

<br />Khadi and village industries commission (KVIC) </p>
<p>KVIC has a 10 member commission at the policy making level. The Commission consists of six zonal members (one of whom is Chairman), two expert members and two official members (the Chief Executive officer and the Financial Advisor to the Commisssion). The Chairman, CEO and FA are full time members. </p>
<p>The head qarters of KVIC is in Bombay and it has its State and Regional Offices in all the States. It has training, production and Sales centres through out the country. KVIC is having 30 State khadi and village industries board, over 3500 institutions and over 29000 co-operative societies. There are around 14200 sales outlets in the country in KVI Sector. It is having 46% women participation in its activities. 30% beneficiaries belongs to SC/ST. KVI Boards assist over 5 lakh artisans. It has reached 2.35 lakhs villages. </p>
<p>Khadi and village industries commission (KVIC) is a statutory body created by an Act of Parliament (No.61 of 1996 and as amended by Act No.12 of 1987) was established in April, 1957 and took over the functions of all India khadi and village industries.</p>
<p>KVIC works under the administrative control of the Ministry of Agro &amp; Rural Industry, Government of India under the department of Small-Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries. KVIC has a 10 member commission at the policy making level. <p>Objectives:</p>
<p>The broad objectives set before KVIC are:</p>
<p>The social objective of providing employment</p>
<p>The economic objective of producing saleable articles,</p>
<p>Wider objective of creating self reliance amongst rural people and building up a strong rural community.</p>
<p>Functions:</p>
<p>1. The KVIC is charged with the planning, promotion, organization and implementation of programs for the development of Khadi and other village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development wherever necessary.</p>
<p>2. Its functions also comprise building up of a reserve of raw materials and implements for supply to producers, creation of common service facilities for processing of raw materials as semi-finished goods and provisions of facilities for marketing of KVI products apart from organization of training of artisans engaged in these industries and encouragement of co-operative efforts amongst them.</p>
<p>3. To promote the sale and marketing of khadi and/or products of village industries or handicrafts, the KVIC may forge linkages with established marketing agencies wherever feasible and necessary.</p>
<p>4. The KVIC is also charged with the responsibility of encouraging and promoting research in the production techniques and equipment employed in the Khadi and Village Industries sector and providing facilities for the study of the problems relating to it, including the use of non-conventional energy and electric power with a view to increasing productivity, eliminating drudgery and otherwise enhancing their competitive capacity and arranging for dissemination of salient results obtained from such research.</p>
<p>5. Further, the KVIC is entrusted with the task of providing financial assistance to institutions and individuals for development and operation of Khadi and village industries and guiding them through supply of designs, prototypes and other technical information.</p>
<p>6. In implementing KVI activities, the KVIC may take such steps as to ensure genuineness of the products and to set standards of quality and ensure that the products of Khadi and village industries do conform to the standards.</p>
<p>7. The KVIC may also undertake directly or through other agencies studies concerning the problems of Khadi and/or village industries besides research or establishing pilot projects for the development of Khadi and village industries.</p>
<p>8. The KVIC is authorized to establish and maintain separate organizations for the purpose of carrying out any or all of the above matters besides carrying out any other matters incidental to its activities.</p>
<p>Industries under KVIC:</p>
<p>1. Khadi: Khadi means any cloth woven on handloom in India from cotton, silk or woolen yarn handspun in India or from a mixture of any two or all of such yarns. Recently Khadi means Ployster Khadi also.</p>

<p>At one time, in most Eastern cultures, the older generation were venerated for the life that they lived. In India, this may still be the case.</p>
<p>In China, the Red Brigade had their very own ideas about the older generation.</p>
<p>Why not do this? </p>
