How can I make my own TastyBite brand Bombay potatoes?
December 4th, 2009 | by admin |A company called Tasty Bite produces pre-packaged indian foods ready to eat – one of them is called bombay potatoes, which is essentially chick peas and potatoes in a brown gravy. Does anyone know how to make this dish? I have looked up several recipes for bombay potatoes but found them to be completely different in nature to this dish, and I have also looked up several chickpea curry recipes and came up with unsatisfactory or unexpected results.
I have my own recipe but the one on here is almost the same.
Bombay potatoes is a fairly dry recipe and no chickpeas and no gravy, so I am a little confused.
My recipe is potato , onions, chopped tomatoes and spices.

I wonder if "Bombay" simply refers to the fact that they are selling east indian food and not necessarily the name of the dish…………
- the chickpeas and potatoes could be their variation of a chana masala, but it also sounds alot like jeera aloo. Maybe try those recipes?
