What info should I have in my accident kit?

But what the heck should you put in an accident kit? Well here’s a checklist to get you started:
- a flash light
- batteries for the flash light
- a pad of paper
- a ball point pen
- a disposable camera or a digital camera with flash
- some band-aids
- a tape measure
- a whistle to make yourself known in the dark
- a piece of paper with all your insurance info on it (you can usually get this directly from your insurance company)
You’ll also want to get the following information from each individual involved in the accident:
- auto insurance policy number
- driver’s license number
- vehicle license plate number
- contact information such as: address; phone number; and e-mail address
